Built for dependable coastwise service
Solid Shipping Lines Corporation began a new chapter in November 1977 when it was acquired
by its current owners. The acquisition included two cargo vessels, each with a capacity of
1,800 DWT, which were subsequently authorized by the Maritime Administration to operate on
the Manila–Davao–Manila route.
Driven by a commitment to provide more efficient and reliable domestic shipping services,
the company expanded its operations in 1982 by replacing its original vessels and adding
a third ship to increase sailing frequency. In the years that followed, Solid Shipping
steadily strengthened its fleet with the addition of M/V Solid Uno, M/V Solid Dos,
M/V Solid Tres, M/V Maligaya, M/V Pole Star, M/V Mabuhay, and M/V Solid Moon.
As the company's capabilities grew, so did its network. In 1991, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA)
authorized M/V Solid Moon to operate twice-weekly sailings on the Manila–General Santos–Manila route.
Five years later, in October 1996, MARINA approved Solid Shipping's operations on the Manila–Cagayan de Oro–
Manila liner route, further expanding its reach and reinforcing its role in connecting communities and
businesses across the Philippines.
Today, Solid Shipping Lines Corporation continues to build on decades of experience, delivering
dependable domestic sea freight solutions and supporting the movement of goods across the
country's key shipping routes
